2nd International Conference: Language and Method. Russian Language in the 21st Century Linguistic Research. This year’s topic: linguistic analysis on the brink of methodological breakdown

The conference will be devoted to the issues related to the latest methods used in Russian language studies, in their synchronic and diachronic aspects. Out of more than 200 applications sent from 19 countries, 120 topics submitted by linguists from over 75 academic institutions have been chosen.
World famous linguists will be the conference's guests of honour: Vladimir Alpatov, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and head of RAS Institute of Linguistics in Moscow, Laura A. Janda from the University of Tromsø in Norway and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the USA, Maksim Krongauz, head of the Centre for Russian Sociolinguistics of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, and Ludmiła Wierbicka – former rector and current president of the Saint Petersburg State University, president of the Russian State Social University and president of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature.
