The Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków joins in the celebration of the 650th Jubilee of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków with an exhibition devoted to its relations with the Kraków Alma Mater. Nauka o budowie kształtów zewnętrznych ciała ludzkiego [On the external shapes of the human body] by Władysław Łuszczkiewicz is the first academic course book published in 1882 by the Academy (then known as the School of Fine Arts), when Jan Matejko was its rector. Aside from the course book, the exhibition will also include original sketches of anatomy charts, preserved in the archives of the Library. It will also serve as a reminder of the collaboration between the JU and the AFA in the field of artistic anatomy.
